Delco Distributor

I have a 49 H with a Delco distributor. I want to install electronic ignition and eliminate the points but i am unable to read the distributor number due to the previous owner painting over the tag. Can anyone tell me if they used more than 1 type of Delco distributors. and if not, what the part number would be.
