41 H Firing Order

I have a 41 H and just put new plugs and wires. It was wired 1-3-4-2. The side of the head says 1-4-3-2. I have found both suggested when searching. Did the firing order change at some point? Mine does have a new head so I am confused as to what the proper order is. It runs well both ways but is weak in 5th gear in either order. Any help is greatly appreciated
